Father’s Day travel inspired present ideas

It’s almost Father’s Day, Sunday June 15th, for those of you reading in the UK.  So, I’ve put together a short list of ideas for those dads who may appreciate a gift with a travel theme.

You can get some really lovely globes, of all different shapes and sizes, so your dad can daydream about his next getaway while he’s at work with this handy desk globe

Google ‘globes’ and you’ll be overwhelmed by globe options, so there is definitely something for everyone, no matter what the budget or style you’re looking for.

What about this globe drinks cabinet?  Ideal if you want to combine your dad’s love of travel and spirits and have a spare £400.

Personalised Travel Stuff

Sites like notonthehighstreet have loads of personalised gifts for Father’s Day and lots of them are on a travel theme including this personalised travel tag artwork where you can remind dad of your favourite places to go, or a ‘remember when’ print from a favourite holiday with all your memories or personalise their passport holder.

If you have a decent budget a nice bit of luggage is a lovely present for a dad who likes to travel.  Debenhams always seem to have a decent range and often have sales on.

And, if you’re looking for some luggage furniture then this retro steamer travel trunk is perfect and it’s made in Britain.

Days Out And Nights Away

Why not buy something that everyone can enjoy?  There are loads of days outs that you can take your dad on and enjoy as a family, anything from going to one of your favourite theme parks to lunch on a steam train.

Or, a particular favourite of mine is booking festival tickets.  There are loads of kid friendly festivals that the whole family can enjoy, check out this site for more info on some of the best ones in the UK this year.  One of my favourites, which isn’t listed on the site, is The Big Feastival combining music, food and camping.

There are lots of deals to be had on hotels where you could treat your dad (and mum) to a night away, just google ‘father’s day hotel stays’ and you’ll get lots of ideas.

Hopefully this has given you some ideas but let me know of your own, would be great to add them to the site.

  1. That drinks globe is very tempting… On a slightly cheaper note, I came across these personalised mugs (wp.me/p2tEeS-1Nt) which are my new favourite travel souvenir as you can use your own photos. It’s a nice reminder of holiday when you’re back home too.

  2. Thanks, love them, brilliant idea. And they don’t take up as much room as the drinks globe 🙂

  3. Fab ideas, I’ve planned to get hubby an illuminated globe for a while now so I’m going to go for it!! 🙂
