The Valley – Cornwall

If you’re looking for a child friendly holiday then Cornwall is perfect.  It has great beaches, gorgeous towns, award winning attractions, watersports, lots of countryside and a good range of accommodation.  And, when the sun is shining it can compete with any foreign holiday destination.

Mini ATWWAH’s first holiday was to Carbis Bay, close to St Ives, last year and we said that we would definitely return to Cornwall as we didn’t get to do everything we wanted, despite cramming loads in.

So, once you’ve found the child friendly holiday destination then child friendly accommodation is next on the list.  The Valley in Cornwall looks like the perfect place.  Why?

Its location

It is brilliantly located to enjoy loads that Cornwall has to offer including:

  • Truro, Cornwall’s only city, boasting a magnificent cathedral and also being at the heart of Poldark country
  • St Ives, which has to be one of the most perfect places on Earth, not just in England, with amazing beaches and quaint streets
  • St Mawes, which is ‘the’ place to go in Cornwall, it is a small fishing village which has some great restaurants
  • Newquay, the surfers paradise and a great family day out
  • The Eden Project, the largest indoor rainforest in the world
  • Flambards theme park, with great rides and exhibitions where you can step back in time
  • Award winning museums including the National Maritime Museum in Falmouth

There is tons of outdoor space

If all the attractions and sights in Cornwall aren’t enough for you The Valley is set in 13 acres of countryside for you to explore.  In the school holidays there is also a whole programme of activities that the family can sign up to including cycling and surfing.

It is self catering

The accommodation is self-catering cottages which is perfect when you are holidaying with kids as they can be a nightmare eating out every day.  But, just because it is self-catering you don’t have to worry about cooking.  You can order food to be delivered to your door from their restaurant, bonus 🙂  And, the on-site restaurant has free food for under 5’s.
